MY APPROACH

A COLLABORATIVE JOURNEY

No one knows what you want and need for your career and life better than you, even if it’s hidden far below the surface. My role is to help you learn how to listen to yourself, uncover and pursue the qualities and values that are true for you, and recognize the steps needed to move forward. The result is a new capacity for navigating work/life challenges.

We work collaboratively in a comfortable, supportive and interactive environment, where together we take those important steps, described below, toward a satisfying and rewarding future.

Step 1: Assess your professional and personal situation and patterns that have led to your current situation. The themes resulting from the self-assessment can be both enlightening and help guide decision-making throughout your career.

Step 2: Identify your desired career goals, and personal needs and aspirations, based on self-assessment tools – guided discussions, online inventories and customized exercises. We also identify the obstacles you may be facing.

Step 3: Develop a North Star template that reflects your interests, skills, values, optimal work conditions, and preferred decision-making and relationship styles. The template can guide you in pursuing and evaluating new opportunities.

Step 4: Create your own personal brand and brand-driven marketing materials. They include your resume and social-media content and are based on your skills profiles and the types of problems you are most interested in solving.

Step 5: Target beliefs, practices and attitudes that may be undermining your career success, and define alternative behaviors. We then evaluate the responses to new behavior and adjust our approach as needed.

Step 6: Determine whether you are ready to carry out your career exploration protocol or to execute your job-search campaign.
